Mini Mummy Pins for Swapping
Whether you are celebrating the study of Egypt orĀ celebrating Halloween this is a fun hands-on project kids will love to make!
You need:
- Baby Flat Slotted Clothespin
- Two Toothpicks
- Rigid Wrap
- Two 6mm Wiggle Eyes
- Tacky Glue
- Low Temp Glue Gun
- Jewelry Craft Pin
- Scissors
- Disposable Plastic Bow
- SWAP* tags (optional) (not shown)
Instructions:
Break the points off toothpicks. Trim. Use a glue gun to attach one to each side of the clothespin for arms. Cut 1/4ā³ x 4ā³ pieces of rigid wrap. Dip a strip in the bowl of water and wrap around the clothespin. Continue dipping and applying strips, smoothing the plaster strips with wet fingers. Cover the clothespinĀ completely working a jewelry craft pin into the back. Let dry completely, microwaving if necessary. Glue on wiggle eyes.Ā If you are swapping, you can addĀ optional SWAP* tags, write your message on the tag and slide onto the pin. Close pin.
