Troop Banner
Make a banner for your troop with your girls’ hand prints. Choose blue lettering for Daisies, green lettering for Juniors or Brown lettering for Brownies.

You need:

–or–

  • Roll of Felt
  • Felt Squares  (You will need 5 pieces for your troop number and 1 piece for every two handprints)
  • Foamie Heart Stickers
  • Fabri-Tac Glue
  • Permanent Markers
  • Dowel or Rope (optional)
  • Scissors and Stapler
  • Number and Letter Patterns

Instructions:

Use the patterns in your kit or make your own with your computer. Staple all around the letters and needed numbers onto felt. Use Green for Juniors and Brown for Brownies. Cut out the letters and numbers.

To make a pocket for the dowel, fold 6″ from the top of the felt. Run a bead of glue along the edge of flap. Let dry.

You can slide your dowel inside or use a long piece of rope or you can just have your girls hold along the top as they walk. Note: If using a dowel, cut felt to 5′ long since finding a 7′ dowel might be difficult.

Have each girl trace around her hand and cut out.

Arrange the letters, numbers and handprints on the banner. Use fabric glue to glue in place. You can use the hearts for the girls names or initials. Peel and stick if you might be changing the names. Glue if the names are permanent.
