Description

Our Kit Includes:

  • 3′ x 6′ Roll of Felt
  • Patterns for Letters and Numbers
  • Felt Sheets
  • Felt Stars

Instructions:

Use the patterns in your kit or make your own with your computer. Staple all around the letters and needed numbers onto felt. Cut out the letters and numbers.

The banner is 36″ wide. It may be too long for shorter girls to carry without dragging on the ground and tripping them. Have two of your girls hold the banner at a comfortable height and cut off extra length. If making a pocket for a dowel or rope, fold down 4″ from the top of the felt. Run a thin bead of glue along the edge of flap. Don’t use too much glue — a little glue goes a long way.

You can slide your dowel inside or use a long piece of rope or you can just have your girls hold along the top as they walk.

Have each girl trace around her hand and cut out. Use puff paint to write their names on their hands.

Arrange the letters, numbers, stars and hand prints on the banner. Use fabric glue to glue in place.

Wonderful kit and girls had fun making the hand prints. Just one thing that the directions dont tell you is you need to use two letters/numbers and two hands per sheet if felt. Otherwise, you wont have enough. We used a 84″ fancy curtain rod that we got at a dollar store.

I used this banner for my Daisy troop at the end of last year. My girls are now Brownies and all of us love it. The girls like to put their hands up against it to see if they grew. It is so nice and I bring it to the meetings occasionally so they can see it and/or take pictures with it. I love it! Thank you Making Friends!

I have a multi-age troop with 50 members. I used this banner as a base, then purchased extra felt in different colors to match the different levels represented in our troop. The result is adorable.
