Wrap up a slotted clothespin to make a miniature doll from India!
You need:
- Flat Slotted Clothespins or Baby Flat Slotted Clothespins
- Two Wooden Kitchen Matches
- Tan Paint and Brush
- Embroidery Floss or Yarn for hair
- 1/4″ Satin Ribbon
- Scissors
- Craft Knife
- Fine Point Marker
- Tacky Glue or Low Temp Glue Gun
Instructions:
Cut the heads off two kitchen matches with a craft knife. Use a glue gun to attach one to each side of the clothespin for arms. Paint with tan paint. Let dry. Use a tiny bit of glue to attach the end of white floss or yarn to the back “neck” of the doll. Wrap floss snugly around the neck and down over the top of the match sticks for shoulders. Continue wrapping under the matchsticks to the “waist”. Trim floss and secure with a tiny bit of glue to the back of the doll.
Wrap the bottom half of the clothespin with 1/4″ ribbon, overlapping the rows and gluing in place with little dabs of glue on the back. Wrap another piece of ribbon diagonally around as shown.
Wrap floss around two fingers to make hair. Tie with a small piece of floss and cut loops. Glue to doll head. Draw on details for face.
