Try this recipe if you chose Costa Rica for Thinking Day. For this recipe plantains must be very ripe. Skin should be black so you know the fruit inside will be sweet enough for cooking.
You Need:
- Thinking Day Passport
- Printable Recipe Card
- 4 Plantains
- 1/4 Cup Cooking Oil
- 1/4 Cup of Sugar
Instructions:
Peel Plantains. Cut into 1/2″ thick pieces. Sprinkle with sugar. Heat oil over medium flame. Place plantain pieces in a single layer in hot oil. Cook on each side until golden brown and edges are caramelized.
