Description

Water Friendship Swap Kit Includes:

  • 24 Safety Pins — 1.25″
  • 24 Printed Tags with 24 Water Fun Facts — 2.75″Custom Girl Scout SWAP Stickers
  • 24+ Printed Water Labels
  • 24 Mini Plastic Bottles — 2″
  • White Pony Beads

Instructions:

Put a small amount of water in a bowl. Holding the tip of the bottle in the water, squeeze and release it to fill the bottle. Cut off the most of tip leaving about 1/8″. Squeeze a dollop of hot glue (not included) on the opening and place a pony bead over it. Cut off one of the labels. Wrap around the bottle and secure with a piece of tape.

Fold the tags back and forth on the perforation and gently tear to separate. Write your SWAP information on the back.  Hot glue a bottle to the tag only putting the glue on the taped area. Poke a pin through the tag (use a hole punch to make it easier.)

Note: The “bottles” will look more authentic if you flatten the bottoms a little like we did. To do this, press the side of the metal point of a low temp glue gun against the bottle bottom. Hold only long enough to flatten slightly. Repeat several times rotating the bottle slightly each time. If your glue gun is too hot or you leave in place too long you will poke through the plastic. Small holes can be plugged with hot glue. Large holes will ruin the bottle. Leave the bottoms rounded if working with younger girls or you don’t want to take the time for this step.

These are great and the girls all loved them, but don’t plan to put them together with younger ones. You do need a hot glue gun and the stickers need to be placed properly for them to look like water bottles. I would and will totally purchase again if the opportunity arises that the swap fits the activity.
