Camp Themed Activities:

• Have each girl make blanket fort to represent their tent.
• A campfire craft is a fun activity and can help set the scene.
• Have your girls collect some items from nature in advance to create art during their overnighter. They can create scenes by gluing flower petals, leaves, blades of grass, etc to construction paper.
• Plan a knot tying activity. Suggest girls that don’t have rope or string use a shoelace or yarn.
• Ask each girl to gather a bar of soap and a butter knife (not everyone will have a plastic knife at home) and practice soap carving.
• Camping BINGO is fun and our free printable cards make planning easy. Send each girl a link to the card you want them to print prior to your event.
• Ask adults to help them make s’mores in the oven.
• A great way to end the night is to sing camp songs together.

Weaving is a classic camping activity. Older girls might enjoy this Cup Weaving project from FreeKidsCrafts which they can use as a pencil cup or to hold trinkets.
