There are many charities that accept pillowcase donations. They are often provided as a comfort item for children in stressful situations. The 1 Millon Pillowcase challenge is recording how many pillowcases are donated. Get your troop involved.

Suggestions for how younger girls can earn the Pillowcase Project patch:

1. Decide where you want to send a pillowcase, some options are hospitalized kids and kids in shelters. Here are places to contact.
2. Make a pillowcase, decorate one using fabric paint and stamps, or try this transfer paint.
3. Donate your pillowcase.
4. Record your donation.

Suggestions for how pre-teens and tweens can earn the Pillowcase Project patch:

1. Discuss how receiving a handmade pillowcase could benefit a child during a difficult transition.
2. Decide where you want to send a pillowcase, some options are hospitalized kids and kids in shelters. Here are places to contact.
3. Make at least one pillowcase.
4. Donate your pillowcase.
5. Record your donation.

Suggestions for how teens can earn the Pillowcase Project patch:

1. Find out about kids in your area living in transitional situations. They may be in foster care, in a hospital, or in a shelter.
2. Set a goal for the number of pillowcases you want to donate.
3. Make others in your community aware of the situation and ask for their participation.
4. Record your donation.
