There are many charities that accept pillowcase donations. They are often provided as a comfort item for children in stressful situations. The 1 Millon Pillowcase challenge is recording how many pillowcases are donated. Get your troop involved.

Suggestions for how younger girls can earn the Pillowcase Project patch:
- Decide where you want to send a pillowcase, some options are hospitalized kids and kids in shelters. Here are places to contact.
- Make a pillowcase, decorate one using fabric paint and stamps, or try this transfer paint.
- Donate your pillowcase.
- Record your donation.
Suggestions for how pre-teens and tweens can earn the Pillowcase Project patch:
- Discuss how receiving a handmade pillowcase could benefit a child during a difficult transition.
- Decide where you want to send a pillowcase, some options are hospitalized kids and kids in shelters. Here are places to contact.
- Make at least one pillowcase.
- Donate your pillowcase.
- Record your donation.
Suggestions for how teens can earn the Pillowcase Project patch:
- Find out about kids in your area living in transitional situations. They may be in foster care, in a hospital, or in a shelter.
- Set a goal for the number of pillowcases you want to donate.
- Make others in your community aware of the situation and ask for their participation.
- Record your donation.
