Brigid – :
Our kit was incomplete. Missing pages for the first aid booklet and didn’t have as many roles of tape that said came with it. I loved the booboo bunny idea and the girls loved the usefulness for babysitting. Again it seemed geared more toward younger girls rather then Cadettes.

I ordered these kits for my 15 6th through 8th grade Cadets. They’re awesome! Sure, I could possibly have put them together myself for a little bit less, but really, I’ll pay for the convenience these kits offer. Since I have so many girls, we divided up into patrols and I had four stations (I combined two of the “steps” into one activity) each with an adult. I did a brief introduction and we talked a bit about first aid and being prepared and showed them the troop first aid kit. At each station the girls completed the activities and the adult gave more information/asked questions and generally kept discussions going. The girls had a blast and we were able to finish this in 2 hours!

Normally when I get a badge in a bag it comes with instructions on how to proceed. I had to google how to make the boo bunny. I am not sure but I think the wrong cards were put in the kits.

So I read the review for this saying the leader could have put it together herself for a little less. I’m thinking that I want to save some of the girls money and head out to the 99 cents store. What a waste of time. I went to three 99 cents stores and 2 CVSs before realizing that I could NOT do it cheaper and that doesn’t count the time I would have spent having to look up first aid stuff on line. so don’t be like me.

The girls loved making the Boo Boo Bunnies, and putting together a first aid kit using Duct tape. We did first aid role playing activities and girls made there thermal water bottles using left over duct tape. I was worried the First aid badge was going to be boring, but my girls had a blast and many of them bring there thermal water bottles with them to every meeting!
Jen – :
The troop had a blast putting their kits together. The hands-down favorite item were the “boo boo bunnies”. Opinion was split on creepy vs adorable, but they instantly turned basic first aid kits into babysitting first aid kits for those working on their babysitting badge.
Melissa Nique – :
The other badges for Brownie and Juniors should have led up to this one. They are way too basic. This would be a great model as this badge is very educational.

Girls enjoyed the badge in a bag. I wish there were some for Seniors.

My girls loved doing this project!! The duct tape 1st aid badge was their favorite.
