Reverse Trick or Treat Patch
Reverse Trick or Treating is a fun way for your scouts to give back to their community. Visit a senior center, senior living, veteran’s home or hospital. The scouts can dress up and hand out candy or treats (you’ll want to check to see if there are restrictions where you are visiting) to the people they are visiting. Maybe end your visit with some fun Halloween songs. When they are done, the Reverse Trick or Treating patch from MakingFriends®.com shows that our scouts know even Halloween is a great time to remember others.

CPR Patch
Learn how your scouts can earn this patch from home while social distancing.
If your scouts are ready go beyond basic first aid skills, they will want to earn this CPR patch from MakingFriends®.com. Many girls as young as 9 years old can learn the basics of CPR even if they do not yet have the physical strength to perform CPR. Check with a certified trainer in your area to discuss if your girls are ready.
While hands on training is always best, if your troop wants to maintain social distancing while learning CPR and how to use an AED, on-line courses are available. If your girls need certification for a specific reason, it’s always best to check with the organization requiring it to make sure the course you would like to take meets their criteria.
