Description
This 2″ iron-on embroidered patch is part of our patch program®.
According to the CDC, limiting face-to-face contact with others is the best way to reduce the spread of coronavirus disease. Social distancing, also called “physical distancing,” means keeping space between yourself and other people outside of your home.
To practice social or physical distancing:
- Stay at least 6 feet (2 meters) from other people
- Do not gather in groups
- Stay out of crowded places and avoid mass gatherings
Suggestions for how younger girls can earn the Social Distancing patch:
Learn what social distancing means to you.
Mark off 6 feet with tape or chalk. Stand 6 feet apart from someone in your family. Move to a different spot and make your best guess at six feet. Measure the distance. Were you close? Practice until you can guess 6 feet.
Think of three ways to stay connected with your friends and extended family without seeing them face to face.
Suggestions for how pre-teens and teens can earn the Social Distancing patch:
Stay active while social distancing.
Complete the above requirements plus make a list of ways you can get outside while social distancing. Get outside at least once a day for a week. Make a commitment to continue.

Plan for fun activities for your family:
- karaoke
- movie night
- game night
- find some games or toys you used to play with as a kid like lite brights and puzzles
