Introduction to Sea Life (Choose 1)
– Watch a documentary or nature show about marine life.
– Visit a local aquarium or marine center to observe sea creatures up close.

Habitat Assessment:
Sea Life Scavenger HuntChoose a local beach, river, stream, creek or lake and check the habitat quality. Do you see any potential problems such as pollution, invasive species, or habitat destruction? Print the scavenger hunt download from your order confirmation and take it with you to help with observation skills.

Beaded Reptiles InstructionsCreative Advocacy:
Make something that will help bring awareness to protecting sea life. Here is an idea: Pleasure Island Sea Turtle Project protects nesting turtles. Print the instructions for making little beaded sea turtles from your download. Make a bunch. Add a tag with information about protecting sea turtle habitats. Donate them to the Turtle Project. They will hand them out during their “Turtle Talks” to advocate for nesting turtles.

— Investigate overfishing and its consequences.
–Learn about the dangers of oil spills and their long-term impact.

Becoming a Sea Life Advocate
–Organize a beach, lake or waterway cleanup event in your community.
–Create informative posters or pamphlets about marine conservation to share at school or community events.
–Write a letter to a local lawmaker or government official expressing your concerns about marine conservation and suggesting solutions.
