Internet Safety Patch

Suggested internet safety topics to review with your troop:

• Don’t share your passwords with your friends
• Never give personal information over the internet or phone
• Don’t click on links in e-mails without checking with a parent
• Don’t click the links in pop-ups when on the internet
• Stay away from websites your parents aren’t familiar with and beware of look-a-like sites which may have similar spelling to the sites you know are safe.
• Have a parent review your privacy setting with you on any social media pages you have.
• Don’t accept friend requests or open messages or videos from strangers.
