Tomme Hough – :
My junior was not impressed and did not want to make dolls.
SHash – :
Loved the completeness and simplicity of the product. Girls loved the activities.
Melisa Stitzel – :
I purchased the kit and one girl pack to complete with my daughter and to have examples to show other leaders how easy it will be to complete the journey. I think the price is good and to buy 12 girl packs and the leader kit is a very good value.
Pamela Holmes – :
I bought this to try with my girls. I have 2 troops and bought both a Brownie and a Junior kit and girls individual bags. How wonderful. I saved so much time on having everything already packaged and ready to go. The only thing I would reccomend is putting the individual girl bags in a lrg Ziploc bags for easy use. The girls liked seeing everything that they get to work with in the future. The instructions were very easy to use and color coded as to where to find the materials. I even had a JR lead the Journey using the instructions herself and will rotate girls leading the weeks Journey it was so easy and they felt so proud to get to lead the girls. I am taping our Journey. I have reccomended these on FB and I am the Support Coordinator for 4 school districts and have passed the word on about the ease of use for stressed out leaders.
Cathy Lovelace – :
Can’t wait to use this next weekend

I think the troop box is over Priced
Happy Leader – :
I can’t believe how much time this saved me. Wish I had never spent the money on the leader guide. This had all the info I needed in one page easy instructions plus activities for the girls to do. They loved the clapper, the microphones, the megaphones, everything.
Linda – :
I have looked through the kit and am so pleased that I bought it! It is going to make leading the sessions so easy and the girls were very excited with the supplies.
Lisa – :
Overall I felt this is a great product that will assist leaders in having project ideas for the journey. It is also a good way to keep the older Juniors on track if they are leading their own meetings. The only disappointment is that I wish it would have been more clear on the badge. It is not the actual badge for the Journey. It comes with a fun patch.
Heidi – :
We did this journey as two 3 hour workshops following the instructions given. At the begining of the first one the girls were pretty sure it was going to be like school and really boring. By the time we were done with the first session, they were asking to use these again next year. Very hands on activities and there was very little planning needed. Next year I may a pair of girls lead each session, since they will be cadettes then and the instructions and plans are so easy to follow.
Fallon – :
With this journey in a bag I am able to have the supplies I need to help my junior accomplish her journeys in 1 school year. She is trying to earn her Junior Summit Award but will be in 6th grade so at the end of this year she will be vridging into a Cadette.
Yvonne Woolard – :
Excellent time saver!
melissa – :
I am excited to use this with my girls
Denise Smothers – :
One thing I can say about Junior Girl scouts is they do not like to sit still and get really bored with book work. This kit takes the journey work to a whole new level. ACTION is the key here and the girls will be moving around completing crafts and doing activities and will love every minute. Try this with your girls I HIGHLY recommend it. You are missing out if you dont!
Amanda Brown – :
Although the materials arrived in an organized and timely manner, we returned this product. We felt that it was mostly cheap craft-based activities and that it went in a direction that didn’t capture the spirit that we were going for with our aMUSE journey. We felt there was too much emphasis on sparkles and feathers and bling and runway opportunities. We wanted our girls to NOT have those ‘stereotypes’ reinforced while doing a Journey aimed at expanding their sense of self and possible roles they can play in life. We ended up doing many of the activities in the Adult and Girl guide for essentially zero cost.
Allison Bennett – :
Almost finished our journey and we are having so much fun. Girls loved the interviewing with the Microphones and the activity about stereotyping by writing captions on the photos in the kit. For their project, they have decided (on their own) to do a video that girls can do everything boys can but can still look and act like girls (all different types of girls). They are each putting to together an outfit of their choice and showing a skill. It’s pretty funny. One girl is wearing a princess crown and reciting math equations, another girl is wearing glitter head to toe and shooting hoops. I am hoping I can get permission from the parents to put it on youtube.
Sue – :
Our package arrived with great instructions on doing the journey over 6 meetings or on a weekend. Materials clearly labeled as to what you need for each meeting and whether they are in the main kit, girl kit, or need to be supplied (like glue). Activities are fun – girls are enjoying – easier for the leader since it includes good instructions – much better than schoolwork.
Dawn – :
I was hesitant at 1st to get this because of the cost but I am glad I did. The kit comes with almost everyhing you need as well as a session by session guide on how to complete this journey. It even tells when you can award the scouts each section of the journey badge. It was well worth the expense.
Jill – :
The girls liked doing the crafts, however, we decorated the prop box, but never revisited it. Same with the dolls. They just didn’t seem to be connected. Reading the journey guidebook, the box is used again to hold props for skits. The doll was just as incomplete in the guidebook (not really sure the purpose for it other than it was the girls’ favorite craft) The discussions bored them. They have covered this so much in school and elsewhere, it just seems to be a repeat for them, but that is the case with most of the journeys. We did this in a weekend. I ended up cutting out the word searches and one of the set of pictures with the captions. We did a comparison of toy advertising now and back in the 70’s. 70’s were much more gender neutral, we have actually gone backwards. I also showed them an article from Sweden where they are trying to bring back gender neutral advertising.
Kristine Turnier – :
Everything arrived quickly and in good condition. The order was missing a few items from some of the journey bags and the company took care of it right away and mailed out the replacements. The instructions re great and this will be such a time saver for me. Thank you!
Rachael Harding – :
Haven’t used it yet. Although anything that helps a leader out can’t be all bad, now can it?
Stephanie Wittleder – :
Our girls love crafts and this made journey work fun for them. they cannot wait for our second session!
Leader of 2 Busy Troops – :
Yes, I know we could each assemble the materials for ourselves and save a little $, but the convenience, ease and organization these kits gave were worth every penny. I’m going ahead and purchasing another kit!
