Remembering the true meaning of Christmas this holiday season

National Hispanic Heritage Month begions on September 15th and continues through October 15th. It celebrates the history, culture and contributions of Americans whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, Central and South America nad the Caribbean.
September 15th is the anniversary of independene for several countries including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.
Mexico celebrates their independence on September 16th, Chile on September 18th and Belize on September 21st.

Day of the Dead is a holiday celebrated on Nov 1st and 2nd in Mexico and other Latin American Countries. The celebrations are to honor and remember deceased family and friends. Although the time of year is close to Halloween, Day of the Dead is a completely separate holiday.
