Ice Skate SWAP Pins
Make an adorable pair of skates to pin to your sweater. Use them as winter SWAPs or for Canada, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland or other countries where ice skating is popular for your Girl Scout World Thinking Day or International celebration.
You need:
- Craft Foam
- 1/8″ Hand Hole Punch
- Yarn
- Scissors
- Paper Clips
- Tacky Glue
- Jewelry Craft Pins
- Skate Pattern
- SWAP Tags (not shown) (optional)
Instructions:
Print pattern. Staple all around skates to craft foam. Punch out lacing holes. Cut out skates. Cut an 18″ piece of yarn. Stiffen ends with tacky glue. Beginning at the toe, “lace up” skates. Make a bow. Trim ends. Glue on a paper clip. Glue a pair of skates together. Glue on a pin. If you are using optional SWAP tags, write your message on the tag and slide onto the pin. Close pin.
