    :

This is my first year as a troop leader, and I was so lost about how to make SWAPs until I came to this site. I appreciate how Making Friends is a one-stop-shop for all of our Thinking Day needs. These were very easy to make, and the girls had a great time. We added a light blue bead to the pin, since blue and white are Greece’s national colors.

I needed them quick and the pre packaged kit was just what I needed. They were a hit at our International Night Event.

We were excited to get kits to make SWAP making easier for our Brownies. This could be a better product with a couple of adjustments: the eye beads have holes that are too small to easily get them onto the safety pin, and they barely fit on the correct side with the letter beads. We had to pull the pins until they were almost straight to get the eye bead on, which caused the gold paint to flake off and weakened the pins at the bend. It was also cause for a safety concern that the girls could poke themselves while extending and bending the pins. A larger eye hole and slightly longer pin may help. We were glad to have the kits and found that a lot easier than trying to craft something ourselves.
