Changing your habits.
Your eyes, nose, and mouth are the easiest paths for a virus like COVID-19 to enter your body. It’s estimated that people touch their faces about 16 times per hour. It will be harder than you think to break this habit. Try these ways:
- Use a strong scented product on your hands like lotion
- Wear gloves
- Keep both hands busy
- Keep track of the number of times you touch your face
What worked or didn’t work for you? Were you able break the habit? You’ll find other suggestions online.
Remember to cough or sneeze into a tissue or your elbow instead of your hand. So start carrying tissues with you and when the social distancing rules are relaxed it’s probably a good idea to avoid casual hugging and kissing people outside your family.
