Open up a coiless pin. You’ll need to open the pin out to a wide angle to get the beads around the loop. Beginning with the beaded pin on the far right, thread base loop of the beaded pin onto the coiless pin, push around loop to the other side of the pin. Sting on a “H” letter bead. String the 2nd orange beaded pin followed by a “S” letter bead. Continue until you have threaded on 6 pins and 5 letter beads.

If you are using optional SWAP* tags, write your message on the tag and slide onto the pin. Close pin.

    :

We just had a Thinking Day event for 100 Girl Scouts, and they absoutely loved this project. We had Daisies through Brownies, and some of the little ones needed a bit more help, but that is to be expected. We didn’t plan on this project for the older girls becasue we had been told they were tired of pony bead projects, and we heard thay those girls wanted to do it too! My one downside on this was that the package of green beads was less than the white and orange beads. I still have safety pins, letters and orange and white beads left, but ran out of greem. We had planned on extras, so all of the girls who wanted to do it did so, but we did not have the materials for all 120 projects.
