Help your girls understand that nature is all around us. Even in cities birds, squirrels, butterflies and ants can be easy to find.
Your troop can complete this challenge by identifying the kinds of wildlife and plants in their own neighborhood.
At your troop meeting you can ask the girls to make a list of the wild animals, birds and insects they see in their neighborhood between now and their next troop meeting.
Ask them to also look for wild plants growing in their neighborhood (weeds, moss and mushrooms count).

A surprise breakfast, also called kidnap breakfast, is a fun tradition and a chance to make for some great memories with your troop or service unit. It involves “sneaking” into one of your troop member’s house and waking them up for breakfast out. This is usually done with someone new but can also be done for your whole troop. Best if done very early in the morning. Everyone including the adults has to go out exactly like they wake.
Girl Scout Week is celebrated in March, starting with Girl Scout Sunday and ending with Girl Scout Sabbath on a Saturday, and it always includes Girl Scouts’ birthday, March 12. In 2024, Girl Scout Week will be observed March 10-16
