Host a “Super Nutty” Fall Product Sales Rally!

Girl Scout Fall Product Sales Event

By Nashira Alicea (Ms. Nachie)

We all know about the massive excitement surrounding cookie season—but what about the fall product sale? Chocolates, nuts, and magazines deserve some love too!

When I realized our Service Unit didn’t have a rally for the fall sale, I decided to take the leap and host our very first Annual Fall Product Sales Rally. I was incredibly nervous since I wasn’t on the Service Unit Board and had never done anything like this before. But with an amazing team of Product Chairs, Service Unit members, and Council support, we pulled off a fantastic, “super nutty” event!

If you want to boost excitement (and sales!) for your troop this fall, here is exactly how we set up our rally.

Rally Prep: The Logistics

We’ve included some patch suggestions to give to participants. See all our fun patches.

Rally Prep: The Logistics

  • Pre-Registration: Have leaders register ahead of time with their troop number and the total number of girls participating. This ensures you have the exact number of fun patches ready to hand out at the end.
  • Decorations: We kept it budget-friendly using cardstock decorations and balloons filled with helium.
  • The Setup: We set up 6 interactive stations around the room. While we originally planned for troops to rotate on a strict schedule, flexibility is key! Since groups arrived at different times, we adjusted on the fly and let them flow through the stations naturally.

The 7 Interactive Rally Stations

1. 🛡️ Training & Safety Table
Safety first! At this table, girls watched a fun, quick safety video (we used the ABC Safety Kids video on YouTube) to learn the best practices for selling in person and online.

2. 📱 The Script Table (Pitch Practice)
To build confidence, we set up a mock “cellular phone” template. One of our Product Chairs coached the girls on how to use the script to make practice calls to family and friends.

3. 🎨 Craft Table
The girls created custom superhero masks to take home. This kept their hands busy and tied perfectly into our superhero photo shoot!

4. 🥜 Tasting Table
You can’t sell what you haven’t tried! Council provided a few nut samples so the girls could taste the products and view the actual tins and boxes they would be selling.

5. 🥤 Hydration Station
All that practice pitching makes you thirsty. Keep simple refreshments on hand—we served water and lemonade to keep the energy high.

6. 📸 Photo Booth & Floor
We laid down a blue blanket on the floor to look like the sky and added foam cutouts of buildings and clouds. The girls laid down on the blanket to look like they were flying over the city in their superhero masks, while our “Paparazzi GS Dude” took photos from above!

7. 🎁 Incentive Table
Show them the prizes! Seeing the actual stuffed animals, patches, and gear they can earn is the ultimate motivator for girls to set and reach their goals.
