Description
Kit Includes:
- 3′ x 6′ Roll of Felt
- Patterns for Letters and Numbers
- Felt Sheets
- Felt Bears and Felt Vests
Instructions:
Use the patterns in your kit or make your own with your computer. Staple all around the letters and needed numbers onto felt. Cut out the letters and numbers.
The banner is 36″ wide. It may be too long for shorter girls to carry without dragging on the ground and tripping them. Have two of your girls hold the banner at a comfortable height and cut off extra length. If making a pocket for a dowel or rope, fold down 4″ from the top of the felt. Run a thin bead of glue along the edge of flap. Don’t use too much glue — a little glue goes a long way.
You can slide your dowel inside or use a long piece of rope or you can just have your girls hold along the top as they walk.
Have each girl trace around her hand and cut out. Use puff paint to write their names on their hands.
Cut the felt squares in half to make the vest. Glue the vest onto the felt bears.
Arrange the letters, numbers, bears and handprints on the
banner. Use fabric glue to glue in place.

Ruthannesimonutti – :
My girls loved having a Troop banner. I purchase one last year for the two Troops I have. And I had both mentioned on it. And the girls simply loved that fact that their one Troop was the only one on the banner.

The banner was a huge hit for the girls to do during the meeting. They had so much fun making the bears and added their own touches to their hands. We have taken our banner on trips… the girls love posing behind their banner. (I really wish I can upload a picture to show how great the quality material it is)
