Description
Our Kit Includes:
- Pony Beads in Petal Colors
- Letter Beads
- Lanyard Hooks
- Satin Cord
Instructions:
Cut satin cord into 36″ lengths. Fold in half to find center and double knot on to a lanyard hook.
Using the photo as a guide, lace the first row of three beads onto one cord. Lace the other cord through the same beads in reverse order. Pull both cords snugly. Continue with the next row of three beads until you have laced all rows.
Tie with a double knot leaving room to slide the beads. Trim cords. To use your “learner”, recite the law and pull down the corresponding row of beads working from the bottom up. Soon you’ll be able to remember the law without reading it. The letters will help you remember which part comes next.

Fun easy project for variety of ages. Easy to follow instructions. Only down side is they were not individually packaged so I needed to separate for each girl, but not a big problem. Girls really enjoyed their keychains!
Troop2033 – :
This is the third time I have ordered this product, and most likely will order again when needed. It is much simpler to buy the beads in the kits rather than trying to sort the beads from assorted beads in bags bought at the store. I have used this craft with all age levels, Daisy to Ambassador, and none of my girls have had any difficulty with it. It does take a minute for the littlest ones to catch on, but after a few rows they get it.

Thank you for your nice comment. However GSUSA has asked that we no longer sell this item as they feel it infringes on their copyright. We still have supply but will not be restocking. Sorry.
Mia Stewart – :
Used this kit for our first badge as Juniors (Girl Scouting in the US) and it was a great reminder for the girls in reciting the Girl Scout law. Putting the beads on at first was alittle challenging for the girls, but one they figured out the pattern, most girls were able to continue with little supervision. Make sure to have a helper for 3-4 girls.

We used this kit on a recent camping trip. With a little patience and coaching, they were all able to make a great looking project. And by the end of the weekend, they could all recite the law. To make it easier to handle for the trip, I divided the supplies up so I had 15 mini-kits (I put them into 2×3 mini zip top bags). When I cut the satin cord, I put tape around the ends (like a shoelace) to make it easier to threads the beads without fraying.
Jodi Hautala – :
Did this with our cadette and senior scouts, because it was way to hard for our daisy scouts to attempt. But for the older girls it was perfect, before this craft there was no way they would have ever learned the law, and now they can recite it without even having this craft. Learning can be fun!
N. Reilly – :
Great project! Love it! Cant wait to try it. I wish the cord was black like in the photo. It came with white cord.
D. St.Clair – :
This is such a great idea to help your troop to learn the Girl Scout Law. They can have fun making a bead craft while memorizing the Law. The assembled parts kit is actually less expensive than if I bought everything separately in bulk – yea! It comes as a kit, but you still need some prep time before the girls begin the craft session. Try making one to familiarize yourself with the parts.

This was a great learning tool for my girls. They had fun making it and use it when reciting the law. It was a little difficult for my 2nd graders to do but they made them with a little help. Making sure the letters were in the correct orientation is what got most of the girls mixed up. But they had a great time making them!
M. Jarrett – :
Great used these as part of a investiture and re dedication for Girl Scout leaders. We enjoyed making them and will share with troops.
Donna McCarty – :
This is great idea for our first year scouts. The directions were small, so I made up a poster so all the scouts could follow along.
MaryAnn – :
Maybe an activity our entire service unit does at camp

This was a huge hit with my Junior troop. I used it at our kick-off meeting and it was so nice to hear the girls talking about the law as they worked. “What’s ‘F’?” “That’s ‘Friendly!’ I’ve seen a few girls wearing them and I have no doubt that many will end up (finally!) learning the law as a result of this cute tool. FYI, it took us about 45 minutes from start to full clean-up.

This was a wonderful craft for our 3rd grade brownie troop! We have 13 girls in the troop and 2 leaders, so it was perfect as a pack of 15. The girls had fun putting it together and can all recite the Girl Scout Law while using it.
Laura Kubin – :
This item was a great value and super learning tool. They are kind of difficult to put together and a little time consuming. The instructions don’t tell the whole story, but once you figure it out it’s ok, and the end product is well worth it.
Barb Fraser – :
The kit was missing a letter….this caused me a need to rush to he local fabric store and spend $15 just for that missing letter! (There was no time for me to contact you and request it…needed it for our first meeting)
Sondra Hash – :
I have used this craft before and was really pleased with the outcome. That is why I placed this order. I really prefer the black satin cord and I was unable to make the full 15 crafts because an “e” was missorted into the “f” packet of beads. The receipients of these GS learners were extremely pleased with their gift. Thanks.
KAREN PARKERTON – :
My Brownie troop made these to practice the law. They took a little patience, but they came out really nice and they have held up for two years pinned to their backpacks. Functional and cute! Highly recommend!

Pieces missing. Needed to sort beads for each ‘ladder”. Should have been sorted for the price paid.
