S’Mores

A tradition that dates back to early GS is enjoying S’Mores while camping.

The origin of s’mores is not known but the first published recipe was in the 1927 publication of Tramping and Trailing with the GS. Originally called some mores, the name eventually became s’mores. The treat is so popular that the are recognized each year on August 10th which is National S’mores Day.

Fun Fact: The worlds largest s’more, made by campers at Deer Run Camping Resort in Pennsylvania, was 267 pounds.
