Suggestions for how Daisy* and Brownie* Girls can earn the Taught Outdoor Skills Patch:

Be a buddy.
Daisy* and Brownie* girls who have camped before can buddy up with a new camper to help them remember to stay on paths and in camp sites and not go into wooded areas.
Leave no trace.
Girls who have practiced leave no trace can explain the importance of picking up after yourself and making sure that no garbage is left around the campsite.
Food Safety.
Experienced campers can explain the importance of not having any food, candy or gum in the tents.

Suggestions for how Junior* and Cadette* Girls can earn the Taught Outdoor Skills Patch:

Teaching younger girls.
If camping with Daisy* and Brownie* girls, demonstrate to girls how to choose a site and set up a tent.
You can explain to younger girls why a camping a cooler with a locking mechanism is needed.

Suggestions for how Senior* and Ambassador* Girls can earn the Taught Outdoor Skills Patch:

Teaching younger girls.
If camping with Junior* and Cadette* girls, first review fire circle safety and then demonstrate how to safely start and put out a campfire. Demonstrate to all of the younger girls how to do a tick check with their buddy.
