There are many organizations which distribute gently worn shoes to people in need. Team up with one and help children or adults who are less fortunate that you.

Suggestions for how Daisy* and Brownie* Girls can earn the Shoe Drive Service Patch:

Participate in a shoe drive.
Girls can participate in a drive or bring in one or more pairs of gently used shoes that they can donate to a local thrift store or church group that helps clothe people in the community.

Suggestions for how Junior* and Cadette* Girls can earn the Shoe Drive Service Patch:

Get others involved.
Choose an organization to work with and set up a shoe drive. Place donation boxes around your community, make signs and spread the word through social media.

Suggestions for how Senior* and Ambassador* Girls can earn the Shoe Drive Service Patch:

Focus on females.
Consider running a drive specifically for women’s dress shoes. Professional shoes can be donated to organizations such as Dress for Success that help women prepare to enter the workforce. Dressy shoes can be donated to organizations such as Soul to Sole that help underprivileged girls put together a prom outfit.

 

Brownie Girl Scout Shoe Drive

Earn a shoe drive patch. Girl scout troop #71 in Naples, Florida tagged over 200 new shoes for Laces of Love. These shoes are then given to school aged children.
