Description
You’ll love the Impact Adventure Badge in a Bag® from MakingFriends®.com! Our kit provides step-by-step instructions for you to guide your girls in completing their Cadette MEdia JOURNEY*. The program was designed to provide economical, hands-on activities to enhance the girls’ experience and to make your time as a volunteer enjoyable and stress-free.
From your local store, you’ll want to pick up a copy of the Cadette MEdia JOURNEY* book and set of awards for each girl. You’ll also need some basic craft supplies like scissors, glue and paint. Everything else is included.
Projects and games are age-appropriate, designed especially so girls can have plenty of fun while they learn about responsibility.

The Six Parts…
The first five parts can be done in 1 to 1 1/2 hours each. You can finish each part during a meeting or plan day-long event or a troop sleep-over to the complete it in a weekend.
The included activities will fulfill the JOURNEY* requirements and guide you and your girls to choosing a take action project.
The sixth meeting is for after the girls complete their take action project.

Just received these kits in the mail. Not impressed. This is the second time we have ordered. The first time I was a little disappointed in the amount of things that were different from what we thought we were getting, but the girls had fun so we gave it another try. Will not do again. I ordered 7 kits, and it cost me $123.50 with shipping. That is a lot of troop money to waste on these kits that are not what is advertised. Now I have to go out and spend even more money on what is not in the kits.

I ordered this set for my troop of 7 girls. In general I was pleased with the instructions and activities provided. What troubled me are the additional supplies I needed to buy to make this work. The product description says “You’ll also need some basic craft supplies like scissors and glue. Everything else is included.” As I read through each craft and the supplies needed, there were several things not included, thankfully I had items like markers, crayons, glue gun, glue sticks, stapler and fabric scissors in my craft box. But I also needed to purchase the additional items: rulers, tacky glue, paint pens/gel pens, gem glue, and double stick tape. I know they put these kits together assuming everyone has a fully stocked craft closet, but for those that don’t, be aware you need more than just the kit, scissors and glue.

Time out benches were broken when took them out of bag. Girls loved the picture frame project the best. Good package to get the journey started but there is so much more to this journey to gain a solid understanding.

I just completed the Impact Journey Badge in a Bag. The girls had a great time it held there interest the hole time. Which made it fun for them. They really liked doing it this way. They said that they would like to do the other Journeys with the bags. And unlike doing the other Journeys on my own with the girls. That was hard to hold there interest.

Enjoyed using the materials, the downside to this is it doesn’t follow the book, a lot of jumping around!

The girls were not as big of fan of this journey. The activities were good but I think that media and technology is just a sensitive subject. Got to have some heated debates about positive and negative images though.

My co-leader found the Journey in the bag via a post on facebook. We decided since we had so much trouble last year on coming up with activities and our girls are all Cadettes. That using the Impact Journey Bag would work for us and the girls busy schedules. So far the girls have enjoyed the activities. We have exceeded the time and we may not finish in the 6 sessions. That is not due to the difficulty I believe it’s our girls ability to stay focused. But, I would encourage other troops to try it out. We have no complaints so far it was wel worth the price.

The girls loved the projects in the Journey bag. My favorite is the time out chair for the cellphones!! As you work with the older girls, it becomes harder and harder to make badge/journey work fun and not like homework. Thank you for doing that..
