The girls loved the activities and were excited to get outside and explore. The only negative I had was the “3D butterfly.” Our package only came with one flat butterfly and not the other part to insert for the 3D effect.
Other than that the activity was great!

This was my first badge kit and i am planning on buying more. The girls loved it and it made for an easy to plan meeting.
Kim Kingsford – :
We used these kits for a Badge Day that my Senior Troop hosted as a “money earning” event for our Alaska Cruise. As we had the event in the winter there weren’t many bugs to be found but we used the natgeo website to observe bugs. Using the information and the Brownie Girls Guide it made it fairly easy to host this workshop.
Melissa Nique – :
These are fairly fun and educational projects.

Lorrie Nantt – :
This is my first badge in a bag! Not my last! This kept 10 7 year olds busy and satisfied for an hour and a half! Not something that can be done easily… Thank you so much for these projects – my job keeps my busy so I don’t have time to put the stuff together and plan as much as I would like – you did it for me!! Thank you!
TERESA LIMING – :
THE TROOP LOVED THIS AND MADE MY PLANNING EASY! THANKS
danielle – :
This was great! We completed this badge yesterday with my troop of 20 girls. They needed help with the spider web but were able to self direct on the other items. Lots of fun!
Carolyn Mathis – :
We have a large Brownie group of 30 girls with an average of 20-24 each meeting. This Badge in a Bag project was perfect. The girls loved painting, coloring and learning about their bugs. It made the meeting fun for all!
Anna – :
The set included so much we did not get to one of the items because the girls would have taken longer then we had for class. Other than that it was a great value and the girls enjoyed working on the bug catcher, butterfly, and My bug. Thank you
Gina Gammon – :
I ordered this when I ordered a Journey kit (which is awesome). We haven’t used it yet. I’m saving it for a day that I haven’t had time to plan a meeting. It may cost a little more to work on the badge this way but the time and gas it will save me gathering supplies I think it will be worth every penny.

My girls earned the Bug badge this past weekend at GS meeting. They had a blast making the butterfly, and spider web with spider. Since we live north its already to cold to go outside and search for bugs, so the girls went around church in search of spiders. They found 4 roaming around in the bathroom of church. I would recommend this kit to any brownie leader looking to earn this badge. After you print a few of the Makingfriends free printables you wont need to get anything extra put together everything is right there for you! Which is priceless for a working mom!

I’m a first time troop leader, still trying to figure out what I am doing. This is exactly what I needed to get my troop to start working towards a badge.
