A photo scavenger hunt is an\u00a0event\u00a0that can be used for your Girl Scout troop, service unit, or even at a higher level, a council event.<\/p>\n

There are so many variations to this type of event, for example my Girl Scout troop a few years ago had a Duck\"Girl\u00a0Photo Scavenger hunt similar to the list below, except we took little plastic rubber ducks and hid around the neighborhood.\u00a0 The story line that we shared with the girls at the beginning was that the ducks got lost and now they had to find each of them and take a creative photo with them. We numbered each envelope in order so\u00a0<\/strong>each group started in different direction if they were unable to figure out the location they called and we gave them another clue.\u00a0\u00a0 We only had one mishap of duck thievery, we placed one ducks in a school area and someone other than our group took it, so when the group arrived no duck were found so if you plan to do something similar make sure to have extra items available for the girls at the end of event in case something like this happens.<\/p>\n

\"friends-girl-scouts\"<\/a>Another great idea, similar to the ducks is to use paper Girl Scout Friends. You can get them at\u00a0makingfriends<\/a>\u00a0no matter\u00a0what level scouts you have make a paper doll Girl Scout, tell the girls they are going on a adventure with their new friends, and have to take creative photos with them. Be creative and come up with a great story to go along with your event.<\/p>\n

This year we are planning another scavenger hunt event, this time we our having it with all the local Girl Scout troops (Service Unit). Below are the rules we use and a great list to work off of, feel free to use this one or customize it to fit your needs.
\nRules are:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Never do anything dangerous, illegal or damage property!<\/li>\n
  2. You are not required to do them all, just the ones you want<\/li>\n
  3. Entire team must be in picture (exception one taking picture\u2026rotate)<\/li>\n
  4. Form teams\u00a0 (5 in a team recommended)<\/li>\n
  5. Groups decide where to develop (disperse groups to different locations)<\/li>\n
  6. Scavenger Hunt begins 9:30 A.M.<\/li>\n
  7. $1.00 per participate\u00a0 (purchase awards and badges)<\/li>\n
  8. Photo permission Slips<\/li>\n
  9. Stop taking photos by 12:15 P.M. or before giving time to develop and return back to park by 1:30 P.M.\u00a0 Lose points if late returning<\/li>\n
  10. Choose as many pictures that will fit onto board and number which correlate with list.<\/li>\n
  11. Awards 3 P.M.<\/li>\n
  12. Rain or Shine Event:\u00a0 come prepared\u2026rain coat, sun screen etc\u2026.MOTTO: Be Prepared<\/li>\n
  13. Your goal is to HAVE FUN!!! So\u00a0Smile\u00a0and say cheese\u2026<\/li>\n
  14. Each picture has a surprise point value (determined by random drawing)<\/li>\n
  15. Team with most points WIN!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Supplies each team will need:\u00a0<\/strong>Camera, Large poster board, Tape to secure photos, Marker, Money to develop photos.<\/p>\n

    Since we have a mixed age group, we are able to split the girls up with a driver in each group. Our scavenger hunts are full day events around the whole town. If you just have just younger girls, tailor your list so the girls can work as a team within a specific area they can safetly navigate on foot.<\/p>\n

    2. Colors of the rainbow looking for 7 colors<\/li>\n
    3. Do exactly what the sign says, (any sign can work)<\/li>\n

    5. Picture with someone in uniform<\/li>\n
    6. Capture your reflection<\/li>\n
    7. \"girlSpell something with people on the ground\u2026hello, SOS, etc.<\/li>\n
    8. Team drinking out of same drink (separate straws)<\/li>\n
    9. Team hugging a big tree<\/li>\n
    10. Team under a bed<\/li>\n
    11. Team doing \u201cYMCA\u201d in front of a YMCA<\/li>\n
    12. Team in 1\u00a0bathroom\u00a0stall, cannot be handicap stall<\/li>\n
    13. Team crossing driveway duckling style<\/li>\n
    14. Team balanced on playground seesaw<\/li>\n
    15. Team picture at a covered bridge<\/li>\n
    16. Team in a mirror picture<\/li>\n
    17. Picture in front of a church<\/li>\n
    18. Team by height<\/li>\n
    19. Team with hands make a heart shape<\/li>\n
    20. Team with a woman (stranger that was a scout in her youth)<\/li>\n
    21. Team blowing bubbles<\/li>\n
    22. Team standing on one leg<\/li>\n
    23. Team each holding a watermelon<\/li>\n
    24. Team writing troop name in sand<\/li>\n
    25. All group members making a funny face<\/li>\n
    26. Team crying in front of a empty store that went out of business<\/li>\n
    27. Team all on a slide<\/li>\n

    29. Team with American Flag in it<\/li>\n
    30. Team throwing kisses<\/li>\n
    31. Entire team photo (be creative) your choice<\/li>\n
    32. Your group with someone 85 or older who is holding their ID with birth date<\/li>\n
