We included songs, reciting the Girl Scout Law and the Promise.\u00a0 Every girl had a special part in the ceremony.\u00a0 After our ceremony, we had a BBQ at the park with the girls\u2019 families &amp; friends who came to support them<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/makingfriends.com\/girl-scout-leader\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/IMG_2700.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-828 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/makingfriends.com\/girl-scout-leader\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/IMG_2700-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"getting ready to bridge to the next Girl Scout level\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/makingfriends.com\/girl-scout-leader\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/IMG_2700-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/makingfriends.com\/girl-scout-leader\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/IMG_2700-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/makingfriends.com\/girl-scout-leader\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/IMG_2700-130x98.jpg 130w, https:\/\/makingfriends.com\/girl-scout-leader\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/IMG_2700-185x140.jpg 185w, https:\/\/makingfriends.com\/girl-scout-leader\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/IMG_2700-628x471.jpg 628w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>This year as I now have 2 troops; Daisy Girl Scouts consisting of Kindergarten &amp; 1<sup>st<\/sup> graders &amp; the 3rd Grade Brownie Girl Scouts, I have to bridge 15 of my 19 girls.\u00a0 So I am planning our bridging this year at our school.\u00a0 We are having the Kindergarten girls do the Flag ceremony &amp; help with handing out the pins.\u00a0 My 3<sup>rd<\/sup> grade Brownies will walk the 1st graders over our \u201cBridge\u201d &amp; some of the Brownies will \u201cWelcome\u201d them into the next level.\u00a0 We also have invited some 4<sup>th<\/sup> Grade Junior Girl Scouts to help with the Brownies to welcome them into the Junior level.\u00a0 This is such a big event.\u00a0 Again all family &amp; friends are welcome to this &amp; we are having a party after.<\/p>\n<h2>Girl Scout Ceremony Planning<\/h2>\n<p>The girls make the plans &amp; then we as the Girl Scout Leaders sometimes need to help tweak the ceremonies so they can come out just right.\u00a0 Sometimes we must make the girls see that certain things will or won\u2019t work.\u00a0 A lot of my girls want to shoot for the stars &amp; plan something over the top.\u00a0 We have to remind them of space constraints and money.<\/p>\n<p>My ceremony always includes a program to be handed out at the ceremony.\u00a0 On the program we put a picture of the girls, with the date &amp; event name.\u00a0 Inside I break down every part of what we are doing.\u00a0 It is a nice keepsake for the families because they get to see their daughter\u2019s name in it &amp; what they are doing.\u00a0 On the back I include a special \u201cThank You\u201d.\u00a0 I thank all the parents because without them allowing their girls to join, we would not have Girl Scouts.\u00a0 Then I thank the moms who stay &amp; help at the meetings.\u00a0 These are the moms that are not leaders, but that have registered to be a volunteer.\u00a0 Next come my 2 AWESOME co-leaders.\u00a0 If you don\u2019t have a co-leader, get one.\u00a0 This can help you be able to take on more girls, but also gives you someone to ask to take over if you can\u2019t be there.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/makingfriends.com\/product-category\/girl-scout-embroidered-fun-patches\/girl-scout-theme\/celebrations\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-4534 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/makingfriends.com\/girl-scout-leader\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/bridging-fun-patch-250x250-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"getting ready to bridge to the next Girl Scout level\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/makingfriends.com\/girl-scout-leader\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/bridging-fun-patch-250x250-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/makingfriends.com\/girl-scout-leader\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/bridging-fun-patch-250x250.jpg 250w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Small gifts are so much fun at your Bridging Ceremony as well.\u00a0 The girls can get a patch, pens, and pencils you decide.\u00a0Take a look at the fun patches available for bridging and other <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/makingfriends.com\/product-category\/girl-scout-embroidered-fun-patches\/girl-scout-theme\/celebrations\/\">Girl Scout celebrations<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The key to planning and\u00a0having a great Bridging Ceremony is the GIRLS!!
