We did it at our Bridging and awards ceremony last fall.\u00a0 I bought a candle for each girl, placed a ribbon around it with a tag with the Law and Promise. Explained to them what the meaning of the Eternal flame was and where I had gotten mine.\u00a0 It was so cool because I got to light my daughters&#8217; candles, so needless to say I was a bit teary.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/makingfriends.com\/girl-scout-leader\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/IMG_0643.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-722\" src=\"https:\/\/makingfriends.com\/girl-scout-leader\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/IMG_0643-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"eternal flame\" width=\"140\" height=\"210\" srcset=\"https:\/\/makingfriends.com\/girl-scout-leader\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/IMG_0643-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/makingfriends.com\/girl-scout-leader\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/IMG_0643-682x1024.jpg 682w, https:\/\/makingfriends.com\/girl-scout-leader\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/IMG_0643-628x942.jpg 628w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 140px) 100vw, 140px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We stood in a closeknit circle and I lit my daughters and then they passed it around the circle.\u00a0 Once everyones candle was lit we said the promise and the law. Then we held them up high and had a silent moment with everyone.
