We think the girls would like to add opening and closing ceremonies for troop meetings next year. So I&#8217;m interested in what ideas you can share.<\/p>\n<p>Our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/gsleader411\/?fref=ts\">Facebook<\/a><\/strong> leaders gave their advice:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dana responded:\u00a0We began as Daisies and are now in our fourth year. For the opening we do the Pledge, Promise, Law song and\u00a0Troop song. For our closing we do a Friendship Circle, Reflections, thank you&#8217;s, Announcements and Taps song.<\/li>\n<li>Lana shared:\u00a0Our girls write in a journal (what they have seen that shows the promise and law since the\u00a0last meeting they attended). When everyone has arrived, we do the Promise, Law and Pledge. I rotate who holds the flag by who attends the meeting so\u00a0if you aren&#8217;t there when your names comes up, I&#8217;m sorry. We close with the Friendship Circle.<\/li>\n<li>Doria&#8217;s advice: <span data-ft=\"{&quot;tn&quot;:&quot;K&quot;}\"><span data-ft=\"{&quot;tn&quot;:&quot;K&quot;}\"><span class=\"UFICommentBody\">Make it simple. Start with the pledge and promise. Then eventually teach them the law. You can teach them by giving them each a line and recite it out loud together. We always closed with the friendship circle.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Melissa shared what her troop does: To open we do the pledge of allegiance, Scout promise and the law song with movements. Our closing is the make new friends song and friendship circle squeeze.<\/li>\n<li>Laura suggested: In our Service Unit, events often begin with a flag ceremony and the promise and end with a friendship circle.
