Also any ideas for a low-cost end of the year party?? Thank you.<\/p>\n<p>Leaders on our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/gsleader411\/?fref=ts\">Facebook<\/a><\/strong> page left some of their ideas to help:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Amy&#8217;s troop: <span data-ft=\"{&quot;tn&quot;:&quot;K&quot;}\"><span class=\"UFICommentBody\">Ours was last night. The girls voted on a &#8220;slumber party.&#8221; They wore pjs and brought sleeping bags, dolls, etc. One of the dads had a projector for his laptop and the girls watched several Disney short films. We had popcorn, cookies and of course, brownies for movie snacks. They loved it.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Yasmin: <span data-ft=\"{&quot;tn&quot;:&quot;K&quot;}\"><span class=\"UFICommentBody\">I had girls bridge at a council sponsored outdoor survival event that had a bridge on the property out in the woods. It was beautiful and the girls were on one side walked over the bridge and then when they got to the other side my older girls\u00a0put their new vests on them. It was really fun and afterwards I have them a gift bag with Cosmo brownies in it and Junior mints too.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Doria&#8217;s idea: <span data-ft=\"{&quot;tn&quot;:&quot;K&quot;}\"><span class=\"UFICommentBody _1n4g\">When my girls were bridging from brownies to juniors I had them assemble a bridge and put their name on each board. I bought the kind made for a garden. I put scout\u00a0color balloons on it going from blue, brown, green and ivory. They stood at one end, took off their vest, they walked across then the other leader or parent gave them their new vest. If it&#8217;s multilevel the juniors would be waiting on the other side and present the vest. Also, I always had girls read scout\u00a0poems and sing songs which made it more formal.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Paula&#8217;s experience: <span data-ft=\"{&quot;tn&quot;:&quot;K&quot;}\"><span class=\"UFICommentBody\">We have a beautiful family park in our troop. We get together at 10:00 work on a badge program, sack lunch, have a visitor of some type.(search and rescue dogs were popular!!) then do a bridging ceremony similar to those listed above inviting families for big pitch in dinner. We love it!!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Jill wrote in: <span data-ft=\"{&quot;tn&quot;:&quot;K&quot;}\"><span class=\"UFICommentBody\">We did a family pot luck at a local park. Rented the pavilion for $25. Troop supplied sandwich tray. Parents brought sides and beverages. Bridge was made with wooden dowels in ground and colored rainbow cray paper.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Ginger&#8217;s troops idea: There are some great Brownie Ceremony Ideas on here so far. <span data-ft=\"{&quot;tn&quot;:&quot;K&quot;}\"><span class=\"UFICommentBody\">We have brownies bridging too but I&#8217;m not sure of the plan yet. As for affordable, we are doing a skating party. My fellow leader found a rink that will let us set up to do the bridging and then tear that down and skate for a very reasonable price.
