Human Rights may seem like a big topic for scouts but troops can help with this issue
Human Rights may seem like a big topic for scouts but troops can help with this issue in a way that’s appropriate for them. Respecting others is the basic premise of understanding human rights. It starts with treating others with dignity, respect and freedom from discrimination. Like most lessons, this one can start early. Promoting anti bullying campaigns is a great place to get your scouts thinking about human rights. Younger troops might want to have a guest speaker to talk to them about bullying. Older troops may choose to run an anti bullying campaign or event. However they choose to take on the subject of bullying, the Anti Bullying patch from MakingFriends®.com makes a great symbol that your scouts take a stand against bullying.
