Reader's Write
"I need
new ideas for father's day gifts that the kids can make."
Coming up with good ideas for Dad can be difficult. Although he always love the
homemade gifts he gets from the kids, it's nice to come up with something Dad can really
use.Here's the best
idea we've ever seen. Outside, it looks like an
ordinary trinket jar but inside is a secret safe for Dad's
valuables. This idea was
submitted by Kristi of Enumclaw, Washington. We've got many more clever gift
ideas for Dad on-line and here are more idea from our visitors:

Key Chain
"Cut off the curved sides of a cleaned Styrofoam meat tray. Using permanent markers,
print a Father's Day message and decorate the rest of the tray. On the back, print
Father's Day and the year. Make a hole in the top left corner using a bamboo skewer. Place
the tray on a foil lined cookie tray in a 250 degree oven for about 35 seconds. Watch them
closely as the tend to curl up and stick to themselves. This part can be toxic so do it a

tray will turn rock hard. In the hole thread a metal key ring."
