 Compass Key Ring
for Dad
Here's a great classroom or
troop project! You'll only need about 15 minutes and kids can take home something dad will
really use.
You Need:
Our project prepack makes 12 compass key rings for Dad.
Instructions:
 Remove the ring from the the key ring compass. Hold open the
1-1/4" split ring and slide on a pony bead, the "DAD" letter beads, another
pony bead and last link of the compass chain.
Cut satin cord into 10" lengths. Fold in half and half hitch to
a safety pin by placing the folded end down through the pin and drawing the cord ends down
through the folded end loop. Diagram at right shows how a key ring will look with cord
half hitched to it.
String two pony beads on each cord. Tie off. Trim.
