Make Homemade Butter in a Homemade Butter Dish
Having a special dinner? Make some homemade butter to bring and impress the hostess with a homemade butter dish.

You need:

Instructions:

To make the butter dish:
Cut the bottom off a water or soda bottle. Wash and dry it. Decorate with ribbon or raffia and a couple of punched shapes.

To make the butter:
Pour the heavy cream into a jar. Make sure the lid is really tight. Shake vigorously for about 15 minutes. A glob of butter will form. Poor off the remaining milk. Place the butter in your dish.

(Note: instead of a jar, you can use a whisk or a blender but the jar is more fun.)
