Flower Child

Ages 7 & up.

You need:

• Pink, Blue, Yellow Paper
• String or Cord
• 1" x 24" Strip of Heavy Paper
• White Tacky Glue
• Scissors
• Stapler
• Hole Punch (optional)
• Flowers Printed on Pink Paper
• Flowers Printed on Yellow Paper
• Flowers Printed on Blue Paper
• Leaves Printed on Green Paper

Instructions:

Print and cut out flowers and circles. Printed side will be the back of flowers. Bend petals up slightly on the dotted lines. This will add depth to the flowers. Assemble flowers by layering pieces. Use a small dot of glue in the center of each piece to secure. Punch out small circles with a standard whole punch for flower centers. Here are some examples of how your flowers could look:

Making the Crown: Measure head using 1" strip of heavy paper. Staple it into a loop to fit around head. Glue assembled flowers all around paper loop.
Making the Belt, Necklace, and Bracelet: Cut string to the desired lengths. Leave enough to tie ends into a bow when wearing. Cut strips of paper 2" x ½". Glue ends of each strip together to form a loop. Glue a loop onto the back of each assembled flower. String flowers through loops.
Making the Shoe Decoration: Add loops to flowers as explained above. Unlace sneakers or shoes. String flowers onto laces. Re-lace and tie as usual. 1998-2000 MakingFriends.com Inc. All rights reserved.
