You need:
Instructions: Print Bug Feet. Many inkjet printers will allow you to run stiffened felt. If using craft foam, print it on regular paper and staple it onto foam and trim around outlines. You can also use heavy index paper. Make a pompon out of ivory, tan or brown yarn by wrapping yarn around floppy disk (or heavy cardboard) as least 100 times. Cut a 6" piece of yarn and slide it under the wrapped yarn. Tie tightly into a double knot. Turn floppy over and cut completely through yarn on this side. Turn yarn blob sideways and smooth down strands. Cut out 1 section of the egg carton. Trim so it sits securely upside down. Use tacky glue to glue the egg cup upside down (or you can use a styrofoam ball) on the feet. Cover the top and some of the sides of the cup with tacky glue. Separate the strands of the pompon to fit the egg cup up inside. Press pompon into place. Arrange yarn. |

To make short hair make an additional pompon on the floppy, wrapping only 50 times. To make long hair make a pompon on a 6" cardboard square and wrap 50 time. As with other pompons, cut a 6" piece of yarn and slide it under wrapped yarn. Tie tightly into a double knot. Turn cardboard over and cut completely through yarn on this side. Turn yarn blob sideways and smooth down strands and place on top of your other yarn blob securing with tacky glue. Trim and style using braids or other hair accessories if desired. (The kinky orange hair is from the middle of a new skein of yarn where it is wrapped tightly) To make eyes, paint medium craft wood circles white and small craft wood circle blue, brown or green. For Asian eyes use small craft wood tear drops with small circles. Tacky glue into place. You can also use our Bug Eyes. Each can be made gluing craft wood ovals into place Make glasses by cutting a chenille stem in half and bending each piece to form 1 lens rim and ear piece. Glue together. Glue on your yarn bug friend. You can also add Bug Hands and some Back-to-School Accessories like backpacks, lunch boxes and lunch boxes and school supplies.
