Shana
Tova Bee Puppet
Make this clever bee puppet so you'll have plenty of honey for a sweet new year!
This is another terrific project from Susan of Suffolk Association for Jewish
Educational Services.
You need:
- Yellow Paper Cup
- Yellow Plastic Spoon
- Black Pipe
Cleaner
- Large Fun Foam Flower
- Yellow Felt
- Circle Stickers
- Black Vinyl
Tape
- Red Permanent Marker
- Scissors
Instructions:
Cut the bottom out of the cup with scissors. Wrap
vinyl tape around the cup to make stripes. Cut a small slit in the
foamie flower. Cut yellow felt into a 1-1/2" x 6" rectangle
to make wings. Round corners. Wrap the middle of the pipe cleaner
twice around the middle of the wings and then around the spoon to
attach the wings to the bee. Poke the pipe cleaner ends though the
foamie flower and gently push the tip on the spoon through the slit.
Make eyes with circle stickers. Draw on a mouth. Put spoon through the
cut out bottom of the cup. Foamie flower should rest on the on top.
Pop bee up to say "Shana Tova U'Metuka!... Have a Sweet New
Year!"
